The bin chutes deal with an enormous throughput of waste and as a result require regular cleaning, disinfecting and deodorising. ABC Ltd has developed a system that collects all the water used in the cleaning process and removes it from site leaving the area free from possible harmful pathogens.

Chute Cleaning Process

ABC,S Ltd’s chute cleaning system is a high powered remotely operated jet cleaning system. The specialised rotating washer head works in conjunction with hot water/steam technology. The cleaning system is winched to the top floor of the tower block and then lowered, by a skilled operator, down the waste disposal chute. The rotating washer head delivers a constant jet of high pressure steam so the chute is cleaned, disinfected and deodorised. Any residual waste/water is washed down the chute and collected into a refuse container placed underneath the chute. This is then emptied into our specialist bin cleaning vehicle. The bin then goes through a thorough manual clean followed by an automated wash and rinse program before being dried and disinfected and returned to the store room. This process is repeated for all waste containers and the store leaving it all cleaned, disinfected and deodorised.
